Having suffered from lower back and leg pain for 30 years, I was sceptical about ever being pain-free. I had surgery under the excellent Mr Mo Akmal, followed by a series of procedures led by Dr Chris Jenner, coupled with physiotherapy with Maxine Rodriguez, both of whom provided outstanding results and were kind and professional. A year after my final treatment, I remain pain-free, and have to remember not to groan as I stand up - an old habit - because now there is no need! It is a strange and wonderful feeling to know that I can, for instance, walk for miles in complete comfort, when a couple of years ago I had to stop every 50 yards because the pain was too intense. I am hugely grateful to Dr Jenner and his team for transforming my life.

I would like to report that my continuing improvement with the occipital neuralgia is most encouraging.
I first came to Dr Jenner almost two years ago with extreme head and neck pain which extended into my shoulder. and had been chronic for a few years.
After expert investigations, medication, steroid injections and physiotherapy, I now find I am pain free. Of course I have the odd day where I experience a headache, or neck pain but it is manageable with over the counter medication.
I would encourage anyone who is suffering with pain to contact the pain clinic for a consultation with Dr Jenner - there is nothing to lose only gain!.

Before I met with Dr Jenner I was ready to give up work as I was in so much pain. I was thinking that I may be able to manage a couple more months but nothing more. However, at my initial assessment consultation with Dr Jenner, he was able to diagnose my condition and also provide a treatment plan to treat the cause of the condition by medication and physiotherapy.
Now it is 3 years on and I am back in full time work. My advice would be that if you think that it is getting too much and if you have tried numerous other doctors that seem unable to diagnose exactly what is going on, please meet with Dr Jenner. I am certain that without Dr Jenner, I would not be back at work, which is really important for me and my family. Dr Jenner has helped a lot and gave me the time that I needed to discuss my condition. It helped that he is really funny!

Turning to the Fibro Clinic for help was the best decision I have made in many years. The first consultation was arranged quickly. I had to fill in a form beforehand and the consultation itself focused on a thorough diagnostic process, at the end of which I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
I started taking Pregabalin about a week after the first consultation and increased the dose over a period of 8 weeks. The effect was enormous. Already during the first week, the whole-body ache reduced drastically and my movements improved. I now walk my dog without a stick; I can wait in queues; I can do household chores and some gardening. Pregabalin also stabilised my mood. Overall, I feel as well as in my twenties. I sleep well without major interruptions and wake after a good night’s sleep. There were some temporary side effects such as drowsiness and lack of concentration, which started with every increase of the dose, but subsided within a week.
In addition to the treatment with Pregabalin, other painful ailments such as Plantar Fasciitis were dealt with swiftly and efficiently including cortisone-injections and physiotherapy.
Without pain, I am a new person.
The Fibro Clinic is one of the best organised clinics I have come across. The biggest advantage is their interdisciplinary approach: They work as a team focusing on the needs of a patient rather than concentrating on narrowly defined areas of specialisms. I cannot but sing the praise of these highly efficient, friendly, helpful and patient-centred health professionals.

I was struggling to lead a normal life due to chronic pain and had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. As my options appeared to be limited I visited Dr Jenner, as he was one of the few who specialised in the condition. During my initial consultation Dr Jenner confirmed I did not have Fibromyalgia, rather my pain was due to underlying degenerative changes in the cervical and lumbosacral spine. I was prescribed medication which reduced the pain significantly and this has allowed me to begin physiotherapy to overcome my condition. I am very grateful to Dr Jenner for the correct diagnosis and significantly reducing the pain which was so debilitating.

I had suffered upper body pain in my shoulders, neck and arms for nearly five years. Despite attending my local GP who sent me for several tests and investigations I was not diagnosed with anything that would cause such pain, in fact I was told by one doctor that the pain was all in my head.
I had become pretty desperate to find some relief from the constant pain which was affecting my everyday life and mental health. I decided to seek help from a pain specialist. Although I live in Scotland I decided to visit Dr Jenner’s clinic after looking online.

The entire process, from the consultation to the anaesthetist at the hospital, was professional yet kind and caring. I am happy to report I had a very good response to the back injections which have allowed me to get back to my normal life. Thank you again Dr. Jenner & team!
Update one month later: My neck seems to have been improved approximately 40-50% post steroid injections. I want to thank Dr. Jenner and his team AGAIN for all they did to help me get my mobility back and experience less pain on a daily basis!
